PEP, Delivered Across Ogun

After a possible exposure, the last thing you need is to spend your window going from pharmacy to pharmacy hoping one has it in stock. So we turn it around and bring PEP to you, wherever you are in Ogun.

PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis) is a 28-day course of medicine you take after a possible HIV exposure to stop the virus from taking hold. “Post-exposure” means after contact. “Prophylaxis” (say it pro-fi-LAK-sis) simply means prevention.

We deliver right across Ogun State. In Abeokuta, that covers Oke-Mosan, Ibara, Kuto, Panseke, Asero, Adigbe, Lafenwa, Idi-Aba, Onikolobo and Obantoko. Sharing needles or syringes gives HIV a direct path through the blood.

Your Options in Ogun

Where Can You Get PEP in Ogun?

Ogun has several routes to PEP. Here’s an honest look at each one, including ours, so you can choose what fits.

Fastest & Most Discreet

PEP Access Delivery

Order online in minutes, add our rapid HIV test kit if you like, and we deliver anywhere in Ogun within 24 hours at the latest. Our clinical team supports you from your first step to your last dose. It’s the best fit when speed, privacy and convenience all matter, which after a possible exposure they usually do.

Federal Hospital

Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta

FMC Abeokuta at Idi-Aba has an established HIV treatment programme, so PEP may be available there. Emergency departments can mean long waits, so call ahead where you can.

State Teaching Hospital

Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu

OOUTH in Sagamu is the state teaching hospital and runs HIV services, so PEP may be offered. If you’re on the Sagamu or Ijebu side of the state, it’s a recognised place for HIV care.

General Hospitals

State Hospitals & ART Clinics

State hospitals and government ART clinics in Abeokuta, Ota, Ijebu-Ode, Ilaro and other towns may provide PEP at low or no cost through the national programme. Stock isn’t guaranteed everywhere, so a quick call first saves a wasted trip.

Private Clinics & Pharmacies

Private Healthcare

Private clinics and larger pharmacies in Abeokuta, Ota and along the Lagos border can sometimes provide PEP. They’re usually faster than a busy public hospital but cost more, and stock varies.

ART (antiretroviral therapy) is the ongoing treatment people living with HIV take to stay healthy. The same family of medicines, taken as a 28-day course, makes up PEP. Government ART clinics are often where free HIV services in Ogun are based.

What It Costs

How Much Does PEP Cost in Ogun?

It depends on the route. Government hospitals in the national programme may offer PEP at little or no cost, though stock isn’t always reliable and waits can be long. Private clinics and pharmacies are usually quicker but cost more.

The real cost isn’t just the medicine. It’s the hours spent finding a pharmacy that has it, travelling between facilities and sitting in queues, while the 72-hour window keeps running.

With PEP Access, pricing is transparent and covers the full 28-day course, delivery and clinical support. See current pricing on the product page, or message us if you’d rather ask first.

Testing in Ogun

When to Test

Testing the same night won’t give you a reliable answer, because of the window period.

The window period is the time between a possible exposure and the point when a test can reliably detect HIV. Testing too early can give a falsely reassuring result.

If you start PEP, take a rapid HIV test before your first dose as your starting point. Then test again at 6 weeks and at 3 months after the exposure, using a fourth-generation test. A negative fourth-generation test at 3 months is conclusive. Our team will tell you exactly when each test is due. Read more about HIV testing after PEP.

Ogun Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How fast can I get PEP delivered in Ogun?

We deliver PEP fast across Ogun, within 24 hours at the latest, including Abeokuta, the towns along the Lagos border and the rest of the state. When you order, we confirm your exact drop-off and keep you updated while your medicine is on the way.

Can you deliver to my workplace in Lagos instead?

Yes. If you live in Ogun but you’re at work in Lagos, tell us where you’ll be and we’ll deliver there. We cover both states.

Do I need an HIV test before starting PEP?

PEP is only for people who are HIV-negative, so a baseline HIV test is required unless you already know your status. Add our rapid HIV test kit to your order as a paid add-on, subject to availability, and run it at home in minutes. The 72-hour window comes first, so if testing would hold you up, start PEP and test alongside it.

Is PEP free in Ogun?

It can be. Government hospitals and ART clinics, such as those at FMC Abeokuta and OOUTH Sagamu, may offer PEP at low or no cost, but availability varies and waits can be long. Delivery services like PEP Access charge for the medicine and service, and the trade-off is speed, certainty and privacy.

Which Ogun hospitals offer PEP?

Federal Medical Centre Abeokuta, Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital in Sagamu, and government ART clinics in the major towns provide HIV services and may offer PEP. Availability differs between them, so call ahead. If you’d rather not, we can deliver to you instead.

What if it’s already been more than 72 hours?

After 72 hours, PEP is no longer recommended. Take an HIV test now as your starting point, then test again at 6 weeks and 3 months after the exposure. If exposures could happen again, PrEP can protect you before the next one. Message us and we’ll guide you.

Is everything kept private?

Yes. Every conversation is confidential, and your medicine arrives in plain packaging with nothing on the outside to show what’s inside.
