Who We Are
A pharmacist-led initiative built around the hours that matter.
“Our aim isn’t to make PEP more convenient. It’s to make sure no exposed Nigerian misses the window because the system failed them.”
The treatment window
PEP needs to begin within 72 hours of exposure. The sooner the better, and after the window it is no longer recommended. Everything we do is built around this constraint.
Nigerians estimated to be living with HIV
Nigeria carries one of the largest HIV burdens in the world, and prevention remains underfunded.
Every state and the FCT
From Lagos to Maiduguri, no location in Nigeria is outside our delivery reach.
PEP Access Initiative Nigeria is a pharmacist-led initiative built around one hard fact. After a possible exposure to HIV, the medicine that prevents it works only if you start within 72 hours. Everything we do is shaped by that clock.
We’re more than a place to buy PEP. We help people understand when they need it, confirm their status, get the medication fast, and, if a test comes back positive, find their way into treatment. For those who reach us after the window has closed, we still help, with honest guidance, testing, and ongoing protection.
Our clinical model is built for speed, and it bends to your situation. Some people have already tested before they reach us. Some have a kit and need only PEP. Others still need their baseline test, so they add a rapid HIV test kit to their order, and the window isn’t lost to two separate trips. If kits aren’t available nearby, PEP still goes out straight away, because the WHO is clear that fast access to PEP matters most. What never changes is the principle: your HIV status is always checked, before you start PEP whenever a test is available, and as soon as possible afterwards when it isn’t. This isn’t a barrier. It’s responsible medicine, aligned with national HIV prevention guidelines.
If you’re within the window, everything moves fast. We treat every PEP order as the emergency it is.
What Drives Us
Mission, vision, and goal.
Mission
To make HIV prevention fast, private, and within reach across Nigeria, getting PEP, testing, and clear guidance to people in the hours that matter, and connecting anyone who needs ongoing care to it.
Vision
A Nigeria where no one acquires HIV for lack of fast, judgment-free access to prevention.
Goal
That anyone in Nigeria who may have been exposed to HIV can start PEP within the 72-hour window, wherever they are, and that anyone who tests positive is guided into treatment without delay.
What We Do
Five things, one purpose: the right help, in time.
PEP education
Clear, accurate information on what PEP is, the 72-hour window, and how it works, so people can recognise when they need it and act fast.
PEP medication
Fast, discreet delivery of the recommended regimen across the country, with eligibility confirmed by a pharmacist before anything is sent.
Self-testing
Rapid HIV tests that let people confirm their status at home, before or alongside PEP or PrEP.
Linkage to treatment
If someone tests positive, we don’t leave them with a result and silence. We encourage them to start treatment without delay and point them to HIV care facilities near them.
Support beyond 72 hours
For those who arrive after the window has closed, we offer honest guidance, testing, PrEP for ongoing protection, and linkage to care. No one is turned away.
Status Confirmation
Baseline Test Required. PEP Never Waits.
A baseline HIV test is required before PEP. If you already know your status, we confirm it and you don’t need a kit. If you don’t, add a rapid HIV test kit to your order (paid, subject to availability) for a result in about 20 minutes, with no clinic visit. If kits aren’t available nearby, your PEP still goes out straight away, and you test as soon as you can.
If you need a test, here’s how it works
Your PEP arrives at your location, with the rapid test kit if you’ve added one.
Take the rapid HIV test first, following the simple instructions provided.
Wait about 20 minutes, then share your result with our team by phone or WhatsApp.
If it’s negative, start the PEP that’s already with you, right away. If it’s positive, don’t start PEP; message us and we’ll link you to treatment straight away.
Why testing matters, and why PEP never waits
PEP is a preventive medicine for someone exposed but not yet infected, so knowing your HIV status matters. That’s why a baseline test is required unless you already know your status, with our rapid test kit available as a paid add-on. But the WHO’s 2024 guidelines on HIV PEP are clear that rapid access is the most important factor in whether PEP works: ideally within 24 hours, and no later than 72. Guidance built on those recommendations says to test before starting if you can, but if a test isn’t available, to start PEP regardless. So if a kit is with you, test first; it takes about 20 minutes. If it isn’t, start PEP and test as soon as you can. If a test ever shows HIV, our team will help you move straight onto treatment.
The Access Gap
Why Nigeria needs a dedicated PEP route.
What We Stand For
Our values.
Speed, because hours matter. Everything we do is built around the 72-hour window.
Privacy and dignity, always. Discreet packaging, confidential conversations, no exposure you didn’t choose.
Honesty without judgment. Straight information and a place to ask anything, whatever brought you here.
Clinical credibility. Pharmacist-led, guideline-aligned, and reviewed before anything reaches you.
Access for everyone. Every state and the FCT, whoever you are and however you were exposed.
Who We Serve
If you’re worried about HIV, you’re who we’re here for.
We’re here for anyone in Nigeria facing a possible HIV exposure, however it happened, whether from sex without a condom, a condom that failed, a shared needle, a needlestick at work, or a sexual assault. We’re here for people starting PrEP, people who simply want to know their status, and people who test positive and need a clear path into care. There’s no judgment here, ever.
We work alongside hospital and emergency care, not instead of it. If you’ve experienced an assault or a serious injury, we’ll help you get PEP quickly, and we’ll also encourage you to reach full medical and support services, because you deserve all of the care, not just part of it.
Within 72 hours of a possible exposure? Don’t wait.
Time is the one thing you can’t get back. Start your order or reach us on WhatsApp, and PEP starts moving toward you.
