How It Works

Getting PEP, fast and discreetly.

PEP Access Initiative Nigeria is built to get you post-exposure prophylaxis quickly and privately, with as little friction as possible, because when it comes to PEP, time is everything.

The Process

Five steps, start to finish

1

Reach out immediately

If you think you may have been exposed to HIV, act as soon as you can. Contact us through the website, by phone, or on WhatsApp. PEP works best when it’s started within 72 hours, and every hour counts.

2

We confirm it’s right for you

Our team asks a few quick questions about timing and circumstances to confirm PEP is appropriate. This isn’t a full medical diagnosis, and everything you share stays confidential.

3

Place your order

Once eligibility is confirmed, you complete your order securely, pay through approved channels, and we process it promptly so nothing holds it up.

4

Delivered discreetly, together

Your PEP arrives in plain, unmarked packaging: within 3 hours in Abuja, within hours in Lagos, Ibadan, Benin, Asaba, Warri, Onitsha, Enugu, Owerri, Port Harcourt, Kaduna, Kano and Jos, and within 24 hours at the latest everywhere else. A baseline HIV test is required unless you already know your status, so you can add our rapid test kit to your order (paid, subject to availability). If kits aren’t available nearby, your PEP still goes out straight away, because the WHO’s 2024 PEP guidelines are clear that fast access to PEP matters most.

5

Start straight away, and finish the course

A baseline HIV test before your first dose is required unless you already know your status, but never let it delay you: if testing would hold you up, start PEP and test alongside it. Take one tablet a day and complete the full 28 days. Then test again at 6 weeks and at 3 months after the exposure, using a fourth-generation test. We can link you to ongoing care if you need it.

Important Notes

A few things to keep in mind

PEP Access provides fast access to PEP under pharmacist oversight. It works alongside hospital and emergency care, not instead of it.

PEP doesn’t guarantee protection if it’s started late or not taken correctly, which is exactly why the timing and finishing the full course matter so much.

For a medical emergency or a bad reaction, seek immediate in-person care.
